Put Your Kitty on the Line

Hola!

While I was in Mexico for “business” I had the opportunity to do something that I have wanted to do for ages – learn to surf!

Six of my lovely Mastermind ladies joined me in taking on this challenge. We had awesome instructors: Gnarly (no, I’m not kidding) and David.

They were fantastic teachers, very positive and encouraging. In their tutorial, as they instructed us in positioning, Gnarly said “put your kitty on the line”, as there was a line down the center of the surfboard. When we got out on the water he would enthusiastically and powerfully repeat “kitty on the line, kitty on the line.” Hilarious, yes. But also poignant words of wisdom for life.

To get exactly what you want out of your life there is absolutely no substitution for putting yourself out there. Risk. Fail. Reach. Succeed. Try. Fall. It’s all essential for your ultimate dreams. You can’t be number one in your field, find the perfect relationship, or become crazy rich if you don’t participate fully with everything you got.

In life and surfing, you must put your kitty on the line, fall, and get back up to ride the wave.
